The sound of the 80's is so ingrained in the current music scene that this actually sounds modern. A bit like if Broadcast had signed to a major label after (the unutterably awesome) Tender Buttons and agreed to make a global conquering mega-hit (i.e still a bit wonky). I like it. Nice Neu! drumbeat? check, trippy phased out guitars? check, vocals that sound like a man but are actually a womans? AWLRITE . Bit like Arcade Fire in soft-focus, or Secret Machines with an approachability. Keep an eye out for the album in late March.
Finally, who said Rap was dead?
I've been a little wary of A$AP Rocky simply because the press have been SO all over him. But this track is pretty damned perfect.

Yessss, new jamz to keep me company while I'm stuck to the internet for weeks straight, workin away. You are the sunshine of my life. It's A£AP Rocky, though, not Rocky A£AP! I like Clams' beats for him stripped more than I like those with vocals, but this one (not a Clams joint from what I recall) is good.

I have to actually start running the film section of said mag now so I will have to be online even more now. Oh yes. Even more of me. Cazart.
